Location: Washago, near Orillia & Muskoka, Ontario

Position Overview

Join our team at The Kitchen Garden Farm, a small-scale, sustainable mushroom farm. We are looking for a full-time, seasonal Farm Market Sales Associate from May until October, Tuesday to Saturday. This role is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to engage in sustainable farming practices and connect with the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Marketing: Sell and package gourmet mushrooms for farmers’ market sales.
• Farm Maintenance: Clean grow rooms, cycle grow blocks, and manage composting processes.
• Garden Upkeep: Assist with vegetable garden maintenance.
• Additional Duties: Perform other farm-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is highly preferred.
• Housing: Accommodation may be available.
• Entrepreneurial Opportunity: Potential to start your own market garden.

Compensation

• Starting Pay: $18/hour or higher, depending on qualifications.
