About Ferme des Petites Victoires

Ferme des Petites Victoires (formerly Ferme Larkspur Farm) is an agroecological vegetable and cut-flower farm, recently relocated to Luskville QC. We have been in business since 2019 on rented land. Over the last 2 years, we have been building infrastructure and preparing land at our new forever farm, with 2 acres of field production and two 100’ greenhouses going into production this year. We grow around 30 different types of vegetables for CSA baskets, farmers market and an onsite farm store. We also grow a large variety of flowers and foliage mainly for florists and weddings.

We are certified organic and focused on building soil health to grow high-quality, nutritious, and really delicious veggies. We use minimal tillage techniques to manage our permanent raised bed system such as broadforking, leaving plant roots in the ground and occasionally rehilling beds using a BCS. We love finding creative solutions to the many obstacles that farming throws our way and we are always learning. It has always been important to us that we respect our bodies and our health during the long season, and so we try to consider how a job can be more ergonomic, efficient and enjoyable. For this year, being on new soil, we will be testing out many techniques to see what works best, and we will be adding a good amount of compost and amendments to kickstart fertility.

As young and first-generation farmers ourselves, having previously worked for other organic farmers, we understand what it is like entering into the world of organic farming. We structure the position so that you will gain exposure to all areas of the farm. If there are certain areas that interest you, the position also allows for some flexibility for what you can take on and learn more about.
