Hiring: Farm Market Stand Attendant (Seasonal, May–November)
Organization: Longview Farms
Location: 8277 Central Saanich Road, Saanichton BC

Hours: Thursday–Sunday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM (32 hours/week)
Wage: $25/hour

Position Overview:

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and self-motivated individual to run our on-site market stand throughout the season. You’ll be the face of the farm during open hours, so strong customer service and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the market stand each day.
• Set up and organize produce displays and signage.
• Track and keep inventory of farm produce.
• Engage with customers and answer questions about produce and products.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Keep the stand clean, organized, and stocked throughout the day.
• Take photos for our social media platforms.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience in retail, markets, or customer service.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Friendly, reliable, and good at working independently.
• Interested in local food, farming, or sustainability.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on their feet for extended periods.

Extras:

• Previous experience working at a farmers’ market or produce stand is a plus.
• Knowledge of fruits and vegetables is a bonus!
