Position: Membership Services & Data Analyst
Type: age 30 & under / summer

Start Date: May 5, 2025
Hours: 32 hours/week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $20/hour

Are you a confident communicator with a passion for sustainable agriculture? The Organic Council of Ontario (OCO) is hiring a Membership Services & Data Analyst to join our small, dynamic team this summer. This is your chance to connect directly with farmers, help strengthen Ontario’s organic network, and contribute to building a more sustainable food system.

About the Organic Council of Ontario
OCO is the voice for organics in Ontario. We represent over 1,400 organic producers, processors, retailers, and consumers across the value chain. Our mission is to grow Ontario organics through advocacy, education, research, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

As a Membership Services & Data Analyst, you'll support a variety of outreach and data-related tasks that help us better serve and grow the organic sector in Ontario. This is a remote position, but you must be located in Southwestern Ontario and have access to a vehicle for events and occasional farm visits.

50% – Data Collection & Analysis

  • Call farms and businesses to verify and update directory information
  • Recruit booths and speakers for the Guelph Organic Conference
  • Gather responses for our data portal and organize them in spreadsheets and HubSpot CRM

30% – Member Outreach & Engagement

  • Communicate with current and prospective members to support renewals and onboarding
  • Provide timely, friendly assistance and relationship support
  • Represent OCO at events and weekend farm-based activities

10% – Communications Support

  • Assist with outreach materials, newsletters, and promotions
  • Support event planning and logistics

10% – General Support

  • Contribute to weekly team meetings and administrative coordination
  • Provide support on cross-functional projects

What We're Looking For

  • Age 15–30 (as per Canada Summer Jobs program eligibility)
  • Located in Southwestern Ontario
  • Have access to a vehicle for occasional event travel
  • Confident and comfortable speaking on the phone with farmers and businesses
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially with spreadsheets and data
  • Independent and self-motivated in a remote work environment
  • Interest in sustainable agriculture, food systems, or nonprofit work
  • Reliable internet access and workspace

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience using HubSpot or other CRM platforms
  • Background in customer service, outreach, or data collection
  • Familiarity with organic farming or agriculture in Ontario
