Position: Operations Lead (30 hours per week)

Compensation: Part-time salaried employee - 30 hr/week ($45,000 annually)

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of operational challenges and is passionate about continuous improvement. We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-oriented Operations Lead to manage and optimize our container logistics, warehouse operations, and partner coordination. As a key member of our small but mighty team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of Suppli's growing returnable packaging network.

Success in this role starts with a focus on execution, attention to detail, and adaptability to tackle challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Container Logistics:
    • Schedule and oversee pickups from return bins and deliveries to partner restaurants using our scheduling tools.
    • Continuously improve scheduling tools and processes based on user feedback.
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Execute tasks such as creating and shipping return bins to new partners, labeling new containers, unloading shipments, and packing restaurant orders.
    • Optimize warehouse processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • On-Site Presence:
    • Be onsite at our shared Junction location in Toronto 1–3 days per week to oversee physical materials and support team activities.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and partner satisfaction.
    • Look for ways to automate existing processes and become more efficient.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Act as a point of ownership for operational challenges, collaborating with the team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Partner Coordination:
    • Professionally manage relationships with third-party partners, including corporate clients, restaurants, dishwashing facilities, and catering companies.

About You:

  • A passion for sustainability and making a tangible impact.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and process optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment where flexibility is key.
  • Ability to work 1-2 hours virtually on Sundays before 6pm.
  • Driver’s License and openness to driving company vehicle would be beneficial.
