Location: Belgrave (near Goderich / Lake Huron, Ontario)

Firmly Rooted is a lovely family farm and a great place to work. Located in Belgrave, Ontario, we are just 25 minutes from beautiful Lake Huron.

Farm owners, Brian and Tamara, have 13 years of growing experience under our belts. We also have wonderful infrastructure and equipment making the work more pleasant and efficient (e.g. a heated wash house, 5 hoop houses, and a Kubota tractor with a loader).

We work hard to maintain a good work-life balance: we start at 8:00 a.m., take an hour for lunch, and end at 5:00 p.m. We no longer attend farmers markets so there is no need to work weekends.

We grow on 3.5 acres and sell for 9 months of the year through our 200+ member customizable farm share and to local restaurants.

We are known for our gourmet salad, microgreens, and a full complement of approximately 30 other veggie and herb crops. We also sell organically grown seedlings in the spring.

Typical work includes: planting, harvesting, washing and packaging vegetables, packing farm shares and restaurant orders, weeding, setting up irrigation, and greenhouse work including watering, pruning, and trellising.

For the 2025 season, we are seeking: enthusiastic, passionate, fun, physically active folks who:

• Have experience with physical and outdoor work – can work in all weather conditions
• Can perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks and lift to 40 lbs
• Listen carefully, follow instructions, and ask questions as needed
• Work at a quick pace
• Care about local food and farming!

Full-time or part-time positions are available April or May, through November to mid-December.

We pay above minimum wage; compensation is commensurate with experience.
