Hiring: Dining Room Servers
Resort: Bartlett Lodge

Location: Algonquin Park, Ontario
Accom.: We provide staff accommodations and two meals per day

Celebrating our 108th anniversary, Bartlett Lodge is Algonquin Park's smallest and most historic lodge! We have 12 cabins, 2 suites, and 2 platform tents that house our guests from around the world. We are hiring for two (2) Dining Room Server vacancies. This position is a full-time contract position LOCATED IN ALGONQUIN PARK with a May 6th, 2025 start date until the end of our season on October 26th, 2025.

You must be available to work the entire season to be considered for this position. You may be required to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, and on occasion 6-day weeks. Since we are a smaller resort, we are able to give our guests personalized attention. The successful candidate should be outgoing and possess a natural talent for customer service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Pay is based on an hourly wage of $18.25-19.00 per hour plus a share of our generous tip pool. For the average staff member in 2024, this worked out to an extra $10,000 or almost $9 more per hour.

Reporting to the General Manager and Dining Room Manager, duties include:

• Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
• Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
• Memorize daily specials and special daily menu instructions
• Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking
• Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to provide humble, and knowledgeable service
• 1+ years of serving experience preferred, ideally in a resort or fine-dining establishment (or willingness to learn and adapt to new skills quickly)
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred

We provide staff accommodations and two meals per day. Employees are welcome to our amenities including canoes, kayaks, and bikes. There is a staff dock for swimming. Staff receive a parking pass to Algonquin Park for the 2025 season, and employees are also able to enjoy unlimited access to the park at no cost during their days off.
